Hope continued...3

Abhinav, a young charming 6 ft tall North Indian guy possessing a huge number of female fans at his workplace is the General Manager for the MNC where Ruchi is working. This 25 yr old IIM stud is known as the most eligible bachelor.

Ruchi’s hardwork, dedication and sincerity impressed Abhinav. He thought that beauty and brains seldom go together but once he saw Ruchi, he changed his opinion. Ruchi and Abhinav became quite good friends and in no time Abhi started getting attracted towards her. The skeptical Ruchi suspected whether she as well is getting infatuated towards him. But she often told herself that she is just being carried away and that she holds her heart for Sarathi. It was quite common to get into rumors and gossips and so did the matter of closeness between Ruchi and Abhi at their office.

It took no time for these gossips to find a way to Sarathi, but he trusted Ruchi though she never told him what she really feels. Eventhough he trusted her, it’s a common issue of possessiveness that occupied Sarathi which made him little jealous of Abhi. He wanted to take his gal away from this fellow but immediately he would just laugh at his silly thoughts.

Ruchi knew that Sarathi loves her and can keep her happy. Abhi never let her know how important that she meant for him. Infact when considering Abhi and Sarathi, its Abhi who is more secured than Sarathi and it is quite normal for a girl like Ruchi to choose Abhi over Sarathi if she knows that Abhi loves her. Ruchi herself was not very clear of whom should she be choosing if given a choice.

Since Abhi is a good friend and Ruchi has got stronger feelings for Sarathi, She told Abhi about Sarathi and his love for her. Abhi was actually cool about the issue…for him he always believed in the fact that when we love someone, its not necessary that they should love us as well. So he congratulated Ruchi and asked to arrange a meet with Sarathi.

Sarathi’s dedication and his passion made him reach higher goals in his job. Ruchi got her self mentally committed to Sarathi. Yet she never disclosed it to him.

When these 3 people meet at a pub, Ruchi tried a prank and enacted to be flirting with Abhi and danced with him at the disco infront of Sarathi . This made Sarathi little uncomfortable. As Abhi was already aware of Ruchi’s plot, he acted equally good with Ruchi.

(Its quite natural guys…no matter how ideal and broad minded we sound we do have that possessiveness over our beloved ones)

Its time and Sarathi was ready to welcome a partner into his life. Before consulting his and her parents, he proposed to Ruchi.

Hope continued...2

Both Sarathi and Ruchi have completed their successful training period. It was a competitive job, unlike what was expected, the job was tough and was demanding more from every employee’s caliber. Being hardworking both of them strived hard to achieve high designations and reputation in the workplace. In mean time Sarathi and Ruchi became good friends. Movies, parties, discos with friends made them closer. Within no time they fell in love with each other, but never let each other know. At times the old skeptical Ruchi used to occupy her mind and ask her to quit all such crap and go higher and higher in her life without really caring about anyone. But the moment she thinks of Sarathi all her self-centric attitude disappears and she becomes joyful. Sarathi though loved this gal never compromised on his mindset and was friendly, jovial with everyone as usual.

Time rolled on and their feelings for each other strengthened. The Software company they are working for has decided to send few of its employees to their other branches all over world. Sarathi was to go to Australia and Ruchi to United States of A. This indeed was great and exciting news for them. They then realized that they are going to leave each other. Sarathi tried to convince his higher authorities to post him to USA but all in vain. Ruchi wanted to go to Australia to join Sarathi but really didn’t try as she suspected that her job will be in jeopardy if she tried questioning them. When it was time for Sarathi to leave, he expressed his feelings for her and asked her answer. Ruchi was overjoyed with this but didn’t showed her consent right away. With that, Sarathi said that he would wait for her answer and left for Australia and after few days Ruchi left for USA.

They exchanged mails and had chat regularly but Ruchi never let out her feelings for him and Sarathi never gave up his faith. Weeks passed and Sarathi tried out for a new job there and finally got himself into a better company which posted him to USA. Sarathi was on cloud 9 with the thought of meeting Ruchi again.

United States of America……. The land of dreams…

Sarathi landed in the airport and felt happy to see his few friends awaiting him at the airport. He was greeting everyone but his eyes were searching for her. There she was….standing little away from the crowd looking at him. His eyes have got the image they waited for and his heart craved to hug her. He controlled himself went to her and shook hands with her.

The Story begins...

It’s a story of a gal named Ruchi, who is skeptical, but quotes herself as “The Practical” and it’s a story of a guy named Sarathi, who is laid down in personality but quotes himself as “The cool” and yet again it’s a story of love…. Love between these two opposite poled persons.

Sarathi was a guy with all potential of achieving things and creating wonders, yet never really bothers to reach the top. For him maintaining the simplicity in his standards was enough. Though he is liked by many and he has got his mark in various fields of interests. His huge circle of friends loved him for what he was…kind hearted, caring and lovable.

After his graduation, Sarathi planned a trip to a hill station to take a break and enjoy the nature. Its not ususal that he made out alone but as his friends were busy and he is expected to join a job next week., he wanted to enjoy the trip without postponing it. It was about 12 hours journey on train from his place to Ooty.

On the day of his departure he packed all his luggage, went to the station enquired of the platform number on which his train is, and after confirming his seat number from the final list, placed himself in his seat. The Coach wasn’t much crowded. His was a side lower seat. It was not until an hour journey that his opposite seat was filled by a person. Sarathi was enjoying the songs from his discman and casually observed the person opposite to him. It was a gal, beautiful and dressed quite comfortably and traditionally. At the very first glance he felt warmth in his heart. Later he indulged himself in his tunes. Another hour passed by he was interrupted when the girl in front of him asked “Excuse me, What is the time?”, he replied saying that its 18:05 hrs. Her voice was so sweet. He turned off his music and started conversation with her, enquiring her of her name and where she is heading to. She gave him a brief detail about herself.

Ruchi is a gal with zeal to achieve big, though being an introvert to max., she is often a social groomer. She have struggled hard to achieve many things and have succeeded in making her dreams into reality. Yet she has no good bunch of friends, for her friends are made only if she feels that they are necessary and are of use. Thus ending her in having a very few pals to name. It was not until that she completed her studies that she realized that she is missing a person, a friend in her life. All long she pretended as if she was fine without having good friends and tried filling all her spaces with the books that she read and the dairies that she wrote.

To come out of her loneliness she planned to embrace herself with nature in Ooty. Sarathi was her co-passenger in train sitting right opposite her. He was charming, good looking and cool in his conventional combo of Blue jeans and a white T-shirt.

These two strangers met in the train, found out that they were of same age and are traveling alone to Ooty just on a vacation. Since these couple are City based youth it took no time to socialize and know each other. Its kind of new for Ruchi to talk with strangers but she wanted to try it out for she was fed up with her introvert behavior. It really surprised her how well she can actually converse with people when she was talking to him. She wondered if this guy has the ability to charm her and make her speak or its her mind which is craving for a change that made her adapt so soon to him. Their long talk minimized their long journey. They have infact forgot to sleep while exploring each other’s interests.

Next morning when their train reached the destination, they have wished a great day and exchanged their mobile numbers and email ids. Both of them tried to plan their schedule so that they can meet again while in Ooty but skipped the thought.

A week’s vacation rejuvenated Sarathi and prepared him for his new job. He was placed in an MNC as a software Engineer. Sarathi was to take a coaching for about 6 months before he actually takes up his designation. He easily got acquainted with what he has to learn and what the firm needs from him. A month passed by and there were fresh recruits and fresh batches turning up. It was a mere coincidence that Ruchi was among the new entries. Ruchi was glad to know that she had a known person on board along with her.

Hope

Stories are not made but are extracted from various faecets of life; whether it may be of someone around us or could be of our own.

Have you ever observed a child who is just learning to walk?? If not try seeing one.. it is so beautiful and exciting to see those tender legs trying to stand straight taking some support and start moving hestiatingly and very tenderly.Even if the child fall down., he tries to stand again hoping to learn walking and finally to walk without any support. Thus our hope begins........A hope for survival and struggle for existence.

Everyday we wake up from bed, wishing ourselves a very good morning and a great day ahead. Each of us hope that we get the best of joys this day.

I hope that the above two paragraphs have made you little bored and must have said, "Yeah we all know that, whats new in it..?" Thats rite my friends there is nothing new in it. But what wonders us that we cannot hold on to our hope in lot many important matters which actually demand our hope, patience and faith. I am not going to try listing out all those important issues though.

What if....we ignore people who love us and people whom we love, just for fun or for some reason...and that person waits for a long time, trying to calm u down but you don’t listen to them and act ignoring them. Finally that person leaves you and moves on after a long waiting....now you turn back saying "I was kidding re" and find no one behind you, realize that u were too late and that u r left alone for yourself. The emptiness, the space, the silence that lingers around you even if u r in midst of the busily crowded place makes you feel that you are absolutely have no reason to exist, assume that all the doors have been closed and that you have landed nowhere. And on the other side, the person who has been trying to patch up with you and seeing you not responding, left the place with tear filled eyes loosing all hope.

Days passed by, you moved on and the person moved on in your own directions but never forgot eachother. One day you both meet up accidentally but remain silent, neither of you start talking but both of you want to express the feeling you hold for them. Finally with all despair leave eachother without talking.

In this whom shall we blame? The person who didnt try enough or wait enough until you turned back or you who have dragged the situation so long that you forgot the fact of dragging too much leads for breaking up... or the Time that have played with both of you.

Well this is just a prologue....to the coming story.
